Our School Participated in the 20th AMBA & BGA Business School Capacity Building Seminar

On March 6, 2023, the 20th AMBA & BGA Business School Capacity Building Seminar was held in Shanghai. The conference attracted nearly 80 member colleges and universities across the country, more than 200 university leaders and international accerditation work in charge to participate. Liu Ting, Executive Director of the International Exchange and Accreditation Office of the Business School, Xu Zhengda, deputy director, and Chen Xingyi, Accreditation Office, attended the seminar.

  

The seminar focused on further enhancing the capacity building of business schools of member institutions. The meeting was chaired by Wang Zhongming, special expert of Zhejiang Province, chairman of the International Silk Road Entrepreneurship Education Alliance, director of the Global Entrepreneurship Research Center of Zhejiang University, and senior professor of humanities and social sciences of Zhejiang University. Entrusted by the organizing committee of the conference, Professor Wang Zhongming made a keynote report on the theme of "New Outlook, New Momentum, New Track and New Development". He stressed that the focus of the new track of Business Education RDG (Responsibility, digital Intelligence, Green Innovation) is on the continued impact of the accerditation body. It is suggested that each certified institution formulate a sustainable impact module according to its own characteristics, continuously improve and perfect the system construction on the basis of bronze medal, continuously improve model majors, and further promote the construction of the "3+1 model" of demonstration courses. He believes that taking "high-quality internationalization" as the starting point can better promote the construction and sustainable development of the Business School.

Professor Chen Fangruo, Dean of Antai School of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, made a keynote report on the development of the concept of "criss-crossing, integration of knowledge and action" and the results of operational research. In his speech entitled "Business Administration in the Digital Age", Professor Xi Youmin, Executive President of Xi 'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, proposed the future training direction of business education talents from the perspectives of ecological management, industry integration, industrial cultivation, and mental upgrading.

 

During the conference, representatives of AMBA & BGA International accreditation Gold, silver and bronze medal winning institutions shared their effective measures and achievements in promoting the internationalization of business schools through roundtable discussions, strategic speeches and discussion exchanges. The participants discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the Business School, student training programs, future strategic planning, etc., and put forward constructive suggestions on continuous improvement and effective measures in curriculum, teaching methods, teaching staff and student development.

In addition, the delegates provided new ideas and suggestions on the capacity building of business schools, which provided useful references for each school in the internationalization development and curriculum construction. On behalf of colleges and universities, the meeting pointed out that from the aspects of curriculum characteristics, training program optimization, curriculum adjustment and upgrading, teaching platform construction, and the construction of model majors and demonstration courses, it will help to improve the level of curriculum construction and development, create educational value and social contribution.

  

This conference has broadened our vision of internationalization strategy and new business capacity building, built a platform for communication between our Business School and other business schools, and has guiding significance for promoting the construction of AMBA & BGA international accerditation and model majors.
