The Briefing of the State University of New York at Albany Was Successfully Held

On December 10, 2024, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, the information session of SUNY Albany was successfully held in Room 2-220, Liangxiang Campus. The seminar was hosted by the International Office of Beijing Technology and Business University, hosted by the International Communication Center of the Business School, and co-organized by the Youth League Committee of the Business School. SUNY Albany Vice President Sanai Fardin; Gilbert A.Valverde, Vice Provost for Global Strategy and Dean of the School of International Education; and John D. Bomi, Director of the Office of International Admissions. Pomeroy) and Wang Xiwen, head of the China office. Students from the Business School, the School of Economics and the School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence of Beijing Technology and Business University actively participated in the event and discussed warmly with the guests.


 


The presentation presented the overall situation of SUNY Albany, emphasizing its academic strength as a public university in the United States and its excellent research environment. It details the school's specialties, such as business, economics, computer science, artificial intelligence, and public policy. From the perspective of the actual needs of students, Director John Bomi introduced SUNY Albany's tuition structure, scholarship policy, colorful student club activities, and support services for international students. In particular, he mentioned that the school's diverse campus culture and high-quality teaching resources can provide international students with all-round development opportunities.


As the key content of the lecture, Director Wang Xiwen introduced in detail the 2+2 undergraduate accounting double degree cooperation project between SUNY Albany and Beijing Technology and Business University. The program aims to provide students with an international learning platform, so that after studying in the country for two years, students have the opportunity to go to SUNY Albany to complete the last two years of the program, and eventually obtain a bachelor's degree from both universities. She also emphasized the comprehensive role of the program in improving students' English ability, international perspective and professional competence.


The presentation strengthened the communication between SUNY Albany and Beijing Technology and Business University. In the future, the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation and cultivate more compound talents with global competitiveness.
