The International Students of the Business School Participated in the Silk Road Lecture Hall of "Empowering Tomorrow"

On November 11, at the invitation of the Silk Road International Think Tank Exchange Center, 12 students from the International MBA Program of our Business School attended the Silk Road Lecture Hall with the theme of "Empowering Tomorrow · Youth Innovation and Youth Dreams". Nearly 300 international students from more than 70 countries, including the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing Foreign Studies University, China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and Beijing University of Technology, participated in the event.


 

During the meeting, a number of participants delivered speeches, and Xia Zehan, Director of UNESCO China Office, said that in the history of the world, there has never been any initiative like the Belt and Road Initiative, which can bring the vast majority of countries in the world together and cooperate for a common goal. This proves that the Belt and Road Initiative will create a bright future of peace, development, cooperation and win-win results for future generations. Professor Hong Xianghua, deputy director of the Scientific Research Department of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (Chinese Academy of Governance), profoundly elaborated on the great significance of the "Belt and Road" to build youth power and international economic cooperation. It has also opened up a broad space for the majority of young people to make contributions, do business, and realize their values and dreams.

  

  

Dwi Darmawan, an Indonesian student from Class 2023 of the Business School. Darmawan, as the representative of international students, accepted the media interview, and he said: "Thank you for the eight actions of the Belt and Road Initiative for international students to bring valuable opportunities for further study and cultural exchange in China. The Business school has built more international exchange platforms for students and actively implemented the Belt and Road Initiative. I will study hard and contribute to the cooperation and development between China and Indonesia and the Belt and Road Initiative."

  

Finally, the Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Silk Road Youth Forum and an alumnus of our university, Dahlia A. Ducreay. A. Ducre, MPAcc Student, Class of Business School, 2013, gave A concluding speech. She said that hundreds of multilateral cooperation outcomes lists were signed during the Third Belt and Road International Summit Forum, providing rich development opportunities for young people in various countries. Call on everyone to rush to the next golden decade of the "Belt and Road" with youthful passion.

Xu Jin, member of the CPPCC National Committee, director of the Central Ideological Construction Research Center of Jiusan Society and senior researcher of the Silk Road International Think Tank Exchange Center, attended and presented awards. Beijing Technology and Business University Business School International Exchange and accerditation Office executive deputy director Dr. Tian Ran and project director Mr. Chen Xingyi led the team to attend the event. Approved by the leadership of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the Silk Road International Think Tank Exchange Center began to organize the annual Silk Road Youth Forum with the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission and other units in 2017, which is a youth international exchange platform focusing on the construction of the "Belt and Road". The Silk Road Lecture Hall activities have also been reported by People's Daily, Guangming Network, Global network, China Network, Beijing Youth network and many other media.
