In order to accelerate the international accreditation of the Business School, from May 15 to May 17, 2023, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School, Zhang Chunping, and the deputy dean, Wang Nan, participated in the global Annual Conference held by the Association of British Masters of Business Administration and the Association of Business Graduates (AMBA & BGA) in Seville, Spain.
Established in 1967, AMBA(British Association of Masters of Business Administration) is the only international accerditation system for MBA programs among the three leading international accerditation systems in global business education, focusing on reflecting the development of business and management practice. BGA(The Business Graduates Association) Accreditation Accreditation of business schools across all majors and disciplines. Its Sustained Impact Model (CIM) is the basis for the entire BGA accerditation, including strategy, graduate achievement, academic reputation, ecosystem, society and many other indicators.
This annual conference is the first international conference of business schools after the epidemic, attracting more than 200 participants from all over the world, including 26 Chinese universities. The main content of the conference is to introduce the standards and promotion of AMBA & BGA international accreditation, share the development of business schools, research features, innovative insights, and award outstanding institutions. More than 20 keynote speakers, including business school deans from some of the world's leading universities and ceos of educational institutions, discussed the impact of disciplinary convergence, the future of MBA education, how to foster global university connectivity, innovation and entrepreneurship in 2023, business transformation in a digital world, business student skills development and practice, graduate employment, and more. A wealth of research insights and practical advice are shared.
Annual meeting has two special forums organized for Chinese business schools, two teachers of the school carefully prepared the speech content before the meeting. In the "China Business School Characteristics Sharing" on the morning of May 16, Wang Nan delivered a speech on behalf of the school, reporting the professional characteristics of the Business School, service to Beijing, digital transformation and international accerditation related work. In the "Silk Road Alliance Special Session" at noon on May 17, the Chinese Business School held discussions on the sustainable development of business, innovation ability training, leadership development and international cooperation projects, and the participants of the school exchanged with other universities.
During the conference, the Business School participants had in-depth communication with AMBA China Director George, China contact Professor Wang Zhongming, and AMBA International accerditation team, introduced the preparation and promotion of the Business School's international accerditation, and communicated with several universities that have passed the international accerditation, to understand the international accerditation process, organization and precautions. In addition, international exchanges and cooperation and student training were discussed in depth. In addition, Beijing Technology and Business University and the Business School were introduced one-to-one to more than 10 foreign universities, the school brochure was distributed, and the initial cooperation intention was established on the basis of mutual exchanges. These will play a good role in promoting the Business School's subsequent international accerditation application work and international project cooperation.
Through this conference, we have broadened our horizons, clarified the work focus of international accerditation application, deepened our understanding of the international development work of the Business School, and promoted the exchanges and cooperation between the school and domestic and foreign universities.
